Andrew Watson is a registered architect with experience in commercial and residential developments, town planning, conservation and refurbishment of historic and existing buildings. His experience includes design and development as project architect for large and small scale commercial and residential developments.
He also has experience with heritage-listed buildings as well as considerable town planning and assessment knowledge. He has travelled widely, studying conservation approaches in the United Kingdom and Western Europe, and has completed a Master of Arts in Conservation Studies at the Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies, at the University of York. His thesis topic dealt with the adaptive re-use of Nineteenth-Century Warehouses and Office Buildings.
As a member of the Central Development Assessment Team at the Brisbane City Council, he worked as an architectural assessor, town planner, and heritage architect.
Andrew has recently begun his own small practice to focus on three principal areas of interest in architecture:
